Senior Project Manager – Integrated Glaztech Inc (New York, NY)
Job description:
Coordinates, prioritizes, negotiates, and manages the execution of all assigned projects and contracts. Participate in Building Enclosure System Project management and engineering work, including but not limited to: Collaborate with Architects, Contractors, Consultants, Suppliers, and Inspectors in Building enclosure system design, specialized in curtain wall, window and storefront systems; review contract drawings, specifications and other project-related technical documents; supervise project engineers for preparing shop drawings and submittals in conformance to architectural documents, contract specifications, and local building codes; supervise project engineers for performing structural analysis and design of Building Enclosure systems, curtain walls, windows, and storefront systems; participate in design meetings with owners, developers, architects, product manufactures, and other consultants; collaborate/Coordinate with suppliers on fabrication drawings per approved shop drawings; supervise and/or Place material orders per approved shop drawings; supervise project engineers for preparing as-built drawings and other closeout technical documents; supervise Assistant Engineers, Engineering Assistants and Interns, including providing input on performance appraisals.
Requirements:
Bachelor’s degree in Architecture, Civil Engineering or Mechanical Engineering; 5 years or above experience in building envelope design and construction; in-depth knowledge of curtain walls, window, and storefront systems; in-depth knowledge of AutoCAD, Revit, Microsoft Office, and related programs; excellent communicator possessing strong writing, verbal communication, and presentation skills; experience in innovative design, specifically in sustainable and high performing buildings; professional registration is preferred, candidates pursuing professional licensing are encouraged to apply; manages the process to identify, assess and prioritize issues and risks to minimize, monitor, and control the probability and/or impact of negative events or to maximize the realization of positive events; handling conflict situations effectively, with a minimum of noise.
